Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how InvoiceNow uses cookies and similar technologies. For how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include browser localStorage and sessionStorage, which we use to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These are required to run the Service and cannot be switched off. They include authentication tokens (to keep you signed in), security tokens, and your consent preference. We rely on these under our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure Service.

Analytics and advertising (optional)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the Service, such as which pages are visited and how long a visit lasts, and Google Ads to measure which of our ads lead to new accounts and to show our ads to people who have visited us. These set cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id> and send usage data to Google, including a signal when you create an account (never your name, email or company details). They only run after you choose Accept all on the cookie banner. If you decline, they never load, and you can change your choice at any time using the button below.

Functional

These remember choices you make, such as your theme and display preferences, so the Service behaves the way you left it. They are convenience storage rather than tracking, and clearing them simply resets those preferences to their defaults.

3. How long cookies last

Some cookies exist only for a single session and are removed when you close your browser. Others persist for a defined period so you are not asked to sign in or set your preferences on every visit. Your recorded consent preference is kept so we do not repeat the banner unnecessarily, and you can withdraw or change that choice whenever you wish.

4. Third-party and payment cookies

When you pay online, our payment provider may set its own cookies to process the transaction securely and guard against fraud. Those cookies are governed by that provider's own policy. We do not sell your data. If you accept optional cookies, Google may use its advertising cookies to show you our ads on other websites; if you decline, it does not.

5. Managing cookies

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. You can also clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features. As we operate under South African law, we handle any personal information linked to these technologies in line with POPIA and the Privacy Policy referenced above.

You can change your choice about optional cookies at any time. Withdrawing consent stops any further optional cookies from being set; anything already running stops when you next reload the page.
